Account Register Email Address for Password Reset

Procedure for Setting a Password Reset Email Address (Current Members)

 

■ Setup Procedure

•         Device used: PC *You can also use the same procedure on a smartphone.

1. Access the link below from your device and log in using your lifetime email address.

https://aka.ms/mfasetup

 

2. Click "Add sign-in method" under "Security info."

3. Click "E-mail".

 

4. Enter the email address where you wish to receive the password reset notification, and click "Next."

 

 

5.    A message like the one below will be sent to the email address you entered in Step 4. Please check the code included in the message body.

 

6.    Enter the code confirmed in step 5 on the workstation and click "Next."

 

7.    Registration is complete when the following screen appears on the workstation. Click "Done."


8. Confirm that "E-mail" is displayed in the list of workstations.

 

  To change the email address used for password resets, click "Delete" to the right of "Email" to remove the currently registered address, then register a new email address by following the same procedure.

 

Procedure for Setting a Password Reset Email Address (For Former Students/Teachers/Employees)

■ Setup Procedure

•         Device used: PC *You can also use the same procedure on a smartphone.

1. Access the following password change screen from your workstation.

2. Enter your lifetime email address and click "Next."

 

 

 

3. Enter the password for your Information Media Center account and click "Sign in."

 

4.    The registered MFA authentication process begins.
※Open the Microsoft Authenticator app and enter the displayed number.
 If using Google Authenticator, a code entry screen will appear as shown in the image on the right.

       

 

 

5. Click "Register Email Address for Password Reset After Graduation/Leaving" from the left-hand menu.

 

 

6. Enter an email address in the "Email address for OTP transmission" field and click "Save".

 

 

 

7.    A message like the one below will be sent to the email address specified in Step 6. Please check the code included in the body of the message.

 

 

8.    On the workstation, enter the confirmation code verified in Step 7 and click "Save."

 

9. Confirm that the process completes successfully and the registration status changes to "Registered."

 

  If you wish to change your registered email address, please follow the same procedure to update it.
