About the Printable Number of Pages

The number of pages you may print is managed as a point balance held by each student, as described below. * In the text below, points are abbreviated as “p”.

Points common to both balances

  • There are two kinds of balance: the allocated balance and the additional balance.
  • Single-sided printing uses 1p for monochrome and 3p for color.
  • One page of double-sided printing uses 0.5p for monochrome and 1.5p for color.
  • The number of points used does not depend on the paper size.

Allocated balance

  • At the start of each academic year (April 1), every student is granted an allocated balance of 300p.
  • Any balance from the previous year is discarded.
  • This balance is used first.

Additional balance

  • This balance is 0p when you enroll.
  • Applying for an increase in the printable number of pages grants 100p.
    * You may apply as many times as you need.
  • Applying to use the computing system grants 200p.
    * You may apply once per year.
  • This balance carries over to the next academic year.
  • Once the allocated balance reaches 0p, this balance is used.

Applying for an increase in the printable number of pages

If you have used up your page allowance, fill in the “Application for an Increase in the Printable Number of Pages”, have a faculty member of your department sign and seal it, and submit it to counter 1 of the office on the 1st floor of the Information and Media Center. Application forms are available in the corridor by the counter.

Applications are reflected in the system immediately only during the opening hours of the Information and Media Center reception counter (until 16:30). Applications received after that are processed on the next business day.
