Authentication System Upgrade: OTP App Re-registration and Service Outage
Information and Media Center is planning to upgrade the authentication system over the weekend of Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, July 19. This notice covers the system outage and the actions you will need to take as part of the upgrade. This is important information, so please be sure to read it all the way through.
Re-registering Your One-Time Password App
With the new authentication system, you will need to re-register the one-time password app installed on your smartphone or similar device. Please follow the instructions on the page below and complete the re-registration by Friday, July 17 without fail.
Set up multi-factor authentication
Note that the one-time password app for the current authentication system will remain necessary until the switchover to the new system. Please be careful not to delete the current setting by mistake.
System Outage
Due to the upgrade work, the authentication system will be unavailable from Saturday, July 18 to Sunday, July 19. As a result, please note that the following services, which use your Information and Media Center account for login, may become unavailable or behave unstably:
- Various information systems (academic affairs system, financial accounting system, business travel expense system, etc.)
- Google Workspace (Gmail, Classroom, etc.)
- Microsoft 365 (Office, Teams, etc.)
- Wireless LAN (tutwifi, tutwifi2025, tutguest, eduroam, etc.)
- Wired guest network
- Remote access VPN system
- Educational PCs
- HPC cluster, including login servers
In addition, due to preparation, you will be unable to change your password or account information at https://imc.tut.ac.jp/config from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17.
